Gluten Free Diet

Recently,I've discovered that I'm Glutent Intolerant. After taking glutent away from my diet, I've felt so much better.

Here are some perks of being Gluten Free:
1. Your Blood Sugar starts to regulate to a good number. For the past few weeks my blood sugars have been ranging from 95-130, which is pretty good.

2. The food is just as tasty as regular food. If you go to your local supermarket there is 100% chance that they'll have gluten free food. Some brands that are good are Lucy's and Glutino.

How to tell if you're Gluten Intolerant:

1. Fatigue: Have you have ever had that perfect amount of sleep but you still want to sleep? That has happened to me before I stopped eating any gluten products. I know that bein tired won't mean you're gluten intolerant but there's no harm in trying.

2. This may sound gross but I'm stating the facts. You may have gas, bloating, constipation or the opposite.

3. Being gluten intolerant is also related with autoimmune diseases Psoriasis and Rheumatoid Arthritis. I have both diseases so when they started acting up, I knew something was related to gluten.

Foods that you can't eat:

1. Anything with wheat! For example, bagels have a lot of gluten. I recommend you buy frozen gluten free bagels at your local supermarket OR if your local bagel shop has gluten free bagels, you're set!

2. SOY! For example, soy sauce at Sushi restaurants! I know that very few sushi restaurants have gluten free soy sauce but it's always best to ask!

Gluten Free Snacks that are Yummy

1. Gluten Free Pretzels: They may seem gross but they are small portioned and Berry filling.

2. Eggs: You don't have you worry about your breakfast is you guys eat eggs. Eggs are literally just protein.

3. Sorbet: If you guys usually have cake or cookies as a desert, you'll have to say bye bye (unless its gluten free). Sorbet is a good choice because they have different flavors and there's a big chance that they'll have at restaurants.

Things to look out for

Since gluten free snacks don't have wheat or soy, they add more sugar to give it more flavor. It's always best to watch out for the sugar count, especially with diabetes!!

Hope this was interesting!!
